Teddy D’s Gourmet Grill brought to life a dream of the chef/owner, David Draftz. Since the 8th grade he began to seriously consider a profession as a chef and one day open his own restaurant.

 

David’s passion for food and flavor has only grown and deepened over the years. His love for food varies from fine French cuisine, to a perfectly seasoned and grilled piece of meat, to the delight of a hot dog and fries after a day of fishing. He is excited to share some of his favorite creations with you.

Teddy D’s Gourmet Grill is named after David’s son Teddy who passed away at the age of 13. Teddy was born with a very rare disorder called Lesch–Nyhan Syndrome. Though the disorder is physically limiting, frustrating and painful, Teddy joyfully shared his love for all that is good: God, family, his friends and teachers, doctors and therapists, the Bears, the Cubs, riding horses and his Dad’s cooking!
